Doesn't seem like the merge is updating with GMAIL...

I'm trying to send other family members the tree (who are in my email contacts list) and those names aren't coming up so I can email them the tree link.  It worked before - the contacts were automatically updated and I was able to select them... Now, it's not working.  Is there a known problem going on in this category?
