Anne Brannen Not in the direct connections. There are some ways to do it, though. If it's a Master Profile, a curator can put a note in up at the top letting other users know the possibilities.
Also, the information can go into the "About" section.
Check out the King Arthur tree for possibilities, since there are many connections among family members, both fictional and human, and in the humans both fairly sure and speculative.
I have also seen some profiles with more than one set of parents, with either curator's notes or explanations in the About section -- in that case I leave them alone when I find them and don't try to "fix" them.
I have also, in the about sections of non-Master Profiles, said such things as "tradition has it that he is descended from Rhodri Mawr, but the connections are not only speculative but unlikely."
That way, if anybody is cleaning things up, they know to cut that connection.
