In my view, on my great-grandmother's tree, there is an "Add This Person" link in the tree even though she is already linked to a husband? I am not seeing this anywhere else on the tree or with other relatives...

Jeff, Geni Curator You could deal with this in a couple ways.
1) On the husband in tree view, select the "more", then "move". This will create a floating box on the right of that person. Drag it on top of the "Add This Person" and choose "yes" when it asks if this is the person.
OR
2) Edit the children, select the relationship tab and the parent drop down. It will currently list just the mother for those that are linked to the "Add this Person". Select the option that has both the mother and father. Do this for each child that is linked to the "Add this person". When all children have been updated, the "Add this person" will disappear.

Jeff, Geni Curator Oh, I answered the how to fix it, but not the why. The why is that she was merged with another tree. One tree had her husband and the other one didn't. I expect the tree that didn't have the husband was the one with the children linked to "Add this person". The mother was probably added to these children and then the mother was merged. So you may want to make sure that the profile merged was the same person. Was your Lougenia Elizabeth Wright the same as the other Lougenia Elizabeth Wright (Kitchens). There is a bit of an age difference when the children were born, parents being in their 40's & 50's. If it is incorrect, I can help unmerge it. Also, if you need help with the prior instructions, I can do it as well.

David Singer number one fixed it. Thanks!

Jeff, Geni Curator Doing a quick search on FamilySearch, I do see the child William Wright listed with those parents. They have Harvey's birth date a bit later though, 1891, not circa 1880.
