I am the manager of their profile.
When I try to edit their profile, I can change everything EXCEPT their e-mail. I am a basic member.

Jeff, Geni Curator The profile would be in a semi-claimed state. If you provide a link to the profile, I can remove the email address if they have not logged in for an extended period.

But why would this one datum not be editable if I am the profile manager? I can change everything else after all. Does not make sense to me.

Jeff, Geni Curator You should now be able to add the updated email. I can't speak to the why - the account was confirmed with that email, so they restrict editing it to that user / email account, instead of family members. -
Solomon Mayer No Sorry....you removing the e-mail simply removes it. Now there is no e-mail AND there is no place to add it back.
Please fix.
How can a request be made to allow changing e-mail addresses by profile manager?

Jeff, Geni Curator It should allow it in tree or profile view, not edit. Alternatively, if you want to private message me the email, I can enter it, but it would be better if the invite came from you, someone she knows. -

Martha Frame Jackson I have the same question but I'm not sure how to provide you a link to this account. I am supposed to manage this account but the person has a different email address now so how can I update it. It is my cousin's husband who is 90 years old today!
