Hi, New to Geni but have been using myheritage for a few years now. Just wondering what the limit is on tree members for a basic account. Myheritage is 250, just wondering if it is the same here? Have lloked for the answer in FAQ and help but can't find anything.
Claire, there is no limit to the number of profiles you can add with a free account, but there is a 1GB limit on media uploads. Other restrictions are searching beyond your tree, matches, and direct support from Geni. You should also be aware that Geni is different than MyHeritage, which is Geni's parent company, in that it is a collaborative world tree. So in a site like MyHeritage, you're building an isolated tree. On Geni, when you get to a certain point, your branches may overlap with existing branches on Geni. When that happens, the branches get merged into a single tree, so ultimately, we're all working on one big giant jig-saw puzzle.
