There are so many errors and mistakes in my parents' ancestry that I want to delete what is on Geni and start again. Apart from doing it one profile by one profile, is there a quicker way?

Jeff, Geni Curator You're part of a shared tree, so deleting profiles would not be a good option and the tree, as a whole, can not be deleted. Starting over wouldn't help as your new profiles would just get merged back into the tree as duplicates. Geni is a system of one profile for one person and we merge duplicates into a single branch / tree. https://www.geni.com/worldfamilytree/learn-more So what you'll want to do is just work with a curator, such as myself, to fix anything beyond your ability. If there are incorrect parents or wrong connections, we can easily disconnect that. We can even undo improper merges.

Isabel Cosgrove Thank you for your quick response. My tree is quite complex and I don't work online to update it but keep my own tree and then usually export a GEDCOM to update elsewhere on a regular basis. I normally keep it private and only share with fellow researchers as and when they contact me. I'm beginning to get that Geni doesn't work this way which has frustrated me in the past. But now I understand that you are working towards a different end to me and that makes me relaxed about what is currently on Geni.
