I have created my Geni tree nearly a decade ago, and it has grown to nearly 200 people. Those initial profiles I have created back then by Geni was public by default, and this has become a security concern. Is there any way I can view which profiles are still public?

Jeff, Geni Curator By default, if the person is deceased, it's public, living are private unless the profile is claimed by a Geni user, which falls to their security settings. -
蘇秋玫 so is there a way i can quick view in Tree mode, which are public and which are not? I'd rather not click every individual to check since I have nearly 200ppl

蘇秋玫 or even in Other than tree mode, a list mode is also ok

Muammar Ghadafi ISHAK You should be able to use the List function to list down all the profiles that you managed which are public. In the "Refine This List : Filters" section, there is a drop down box which will have a Public/Private/MasterProfile options to be selected.
I have been using this feature for years to identify any profiles that I wrongly classified as public or private. Hopefully you can try it out. Not sure if this ability is only for Pro user.

蘇秋玫 Muammar, I found the filters that you mentioned. only deceased persons showed up, none of the living people were listed as public. However, when I searched for one of my relatives on google, her profile showed up (https://www.geni.com/people/Puay-Li-Teh/4932592443410036920)
As I understand, if it is private it would not have show on Google, so this profile is public. I don't understand why it is not showing on the Geni search filter results. I wonder if the filter is working correctly.
Do you have such issues?

Muammar Ghadafi ISHAK Hi, Seems that profile that you mentioned is also a Geni user. I suspect that the "Let the public search for me (profile privacy settings apply)" setting is enabled to allow his/her profile to be searchable from Google.
For example you can check your own profile setting from here:
https://www.geni.com/account_settings/permissions
If it is true, I guess only the owner can change that setting. Or perhaps any Curator have the ability to change it.
