To be able to show in tree view the last wife/mistress furthest away. (a toggle to change so that the latest wife/partner is closest would be acceptable)

Yao Liu It's best to order the wives from left to right, in agreement with birth order, especially for historical profiles.
Another problem, which doesn't happen so often in Europe, is when the children's birth order can't be put in accordance with the marriage order. It could be a result of multiple wives/concubines, or illegitimate children. At least in the profile (next to the profile picture) the children should be listed in order of birth.

Mike Zavurov Marriage order should determine the way the tree is displayed.
Tree view should list multiple partners/spouses in sequence using the marriage order. The toggle/option should be whether to display the latest to earliest from left to right or right to left.
I can see how this view can become convoluted if both husband and wife had multiple unions. As Liu Yao mentioned, there should be an additional option when the children's birth order can't be put in accordance with the marriage order, whether to sequence the children under the father or their respective mother.
Thank you!

Bjørn P. Brox Mike, - it does, - but as any view, it depends on your focus pint.

Mike Zavurov Hi Bjørn,
I'm using the standard layout. My father was married twice. I set the marriage order correctly. I've tried centering the tree on my father and grandfather and yes I can see it. But, when I center on myself or my son, it looks different.
Can you point me to where I can choose to always have wives to the right of the husband, and choose to have the most recent wife on the far right?
See attachment of what I would like to see consistently, regardless of my focus point. I think there should be an option to choose this kind of view.

Bjørn P. Brox Exactly: When focus on yourself (or your son) it is in my opinion naturally that it is your biological parents that should be displayed closest to yourself. I think most people would dislike having for example their mother stashed away, hidden way out to the right just because she is not the latest wife of your father. You are the focus person, not your father.

Nich Saunders My Great-Grandfather had 4 wives and the tree puts them in a strange 4 3 1 2 order. Then the children are positioned in 3rd 2nd then 1st wife order. The coloured lines don't even relate properly. There must be a way to determine the preferred/correct position - of both wives and children. chronology would be best.
