More choice for citations

I believe there should be more choice or a free choice for citations.
For example in a marriage certificate you don't just find out the couples details but each of their father's and father's occupations also the witnesses may be of relevance.

In a birth certiificate you also find out the mother's maiden name and father's name and occupation as well as the persons' birth details

  Kathleen, I don't know why you are asking this here but I will answer- generally a marriage certificate will give you the parents names also the birth certificate should do this.
