When you list profiles in the search engine, you can see profile pictures where they exist.
The projects list at http://www.geni.com/projects is dry. Allow each project to have a project picture, to liven up the list and make projects look more attractive. Maybe have a little competition for the best profile picture.
I'm a very visual type. This would make projects more appealing. Also, we have some similarly-named projects. Using unique pictures for each would help to differentiate them in my mind.
Thanks Maria for your support. I would like to see a project picture in project listings, and in the About section on the project home page.

I would go further and suggest full multimedia capability to be added to projects - pictures and videos.
Projects can now have photos, documents and videos associated with them.
