Many genealogical church records for women are in their maiden names. Therefore keeping the tree is always hard as one can't search for already included people on my (public) tree.
I would make sense to show maiden name the same way it's shown in tree. Currently 2 locations need it the most:
- in search suggestions (top-right corner)
- in search results
This way it would be easier to identify the person. Now my relatives are simply entering maiden name only, so that they could keep track of the person. But then it's hard to find similar profiles and join trees. I would say the information has to go into the correct fields, just that displaying those fields is not optimal yet.
