I think it would be useful if you could add people which are no real family members, but still quite important to the family, like godparents at baptism or witnesses to marriages. If they cannot be added to the tree, they should be at least mentioned in for example baptism/marriage details. They are also some kind of family, in my country they are a quite important part of the family, so it would be nice to mention them somewhere.

Brian Alexander Pomykala I agree, need to have space for notes for godparents, important as others in family are related to them and contains information.

Yao Liu In the baptism/marriage events, you may add as many individuals as you want. (The "protagonists" are shown in a darker hue, and can't be deleted from the event itself if I'm not mistaken.) Though they don't show up on the profiles, and not visible in the timeline unless you put it in the event description.
Events are being underrated. You may add additional labels and fields, something that profiles don't even have.
