Last Online - colour coded time frame

Previously all users could see last login date. Currently it is shown for collaborators and curators. A user may want to be able to show their last login (to all user or just to family members) but are unable to -- even when they want to -- without collaborating first.

When other users and potential collaborators (or your stalker or your boss!) view your profile, they don't really need to know the exact date of your last login - a time frame would do.

How about a colour coded Last Online? For example:

Red - more than 9 months ago - feel free to report as an abandoned tree.

Orange - within 1-9 months - send your requests but don't hold your breath.

Green - less than a month ago - a possible Geni-addict ;-)

  Well, that's better than nothing!  Though I still wonder what "your stalker or boss" can do with the information when one was last in Geni? It need not have been during working hours but before or after e.g. instead of making love, not at home but with the laptop whilst flying to the moon.... Aren't' you Americans getting a bit paranoid about protecting your privacy?

  Perhaps it depends on your line of work but when your boss sees "Last Online: Now" on a regular basis, you may be denied a pay rise, promotion or even get fired.

  I can see where hourly detail might be problematic (although I think you may need to consider finding a different job if your boss is connected to you on Geni).  But I have a hard time imagining a case in which daily detail could possibly cause problems.   (Last Online: Today) (Last Online: 4 Days Ago)
