As a basic member for now, I've entered family present and past. I have found quite a few new additions to my family tree, but have also found a few who do not belong to it,. Another thing I've found is sibling's being listed wrong, {half}.brother or sister.
A while back I contacted another member of Geni who also share's the same surname/surname's of my family line's. One problem with info of their's, my family line/line's do not relate to their's but my fourth great grandparent's { I've documented prove of} are listed in their tree along with two/three children that do not belong to them. This person never replyed back with any question or explanation about where their information had come from or why I was questioning their info. [MAKE'S ONE WONDER]
I believe any and all documentation should be shown/listed when doing family research or merging family line's as it's done here on Geni. To much false information is floating around and to be honest, {Some do not really research their family line's } they borrow other's research and just add their info to it. This only add's more false leading information for other's to work with. Great site, but if member's do not care to show prove of info or share with other's when asked, it's a lost cause. No offense, just questioning validation of many source's. C Burden.
