Pad instead of clipping profile photo in tree display

If the profile picture I've uploaded is a different width to height ratio than the picture boxes displayed in the tree, the display appears to fit to the smallest dimension, clipping part of the picture in the other dimension. For portrait photos that are often taller than they are wide, this can end up clipping the top of the end and the bottom of the face. If the display fit to the largest dimension, and left the extra space of the other dimension white, then the entire image would be displayed without clipping.
