Geni has established privacy out to 4th cousin, 3rd great-grandparent. I have no problem with this since the Federal Government has agreed (for privacy reasons) to protect census data for a period of 72 years, but the proliferation of Zombies within the GENI Tree is growing geometrically for those profiles beyond any reasonable period of time. Attempts to have Curators and others remove these "Zombies" have, for the most part, become fruitless with consistent responses that "they cannot be removed at this time"!
Rationale for the Zombies are inconspicuous at best, but GENI should develop software enhancements which not only identify "Zombies" beyond the privacy protection timeframe, but allow Curators and PRO users to identify and eliminate these Zombie Profiles which for the most part are either inaccurate or duplicates of valid profiles. This debate has gone on far too long by ALL members!
Request that GENI address this issue in a public forum to receive input...AND DEVELOP A FIX!
