Geni is a best family lineage programme I have seen. It is very very easy for a layman like me to update the data and expand it. However, after adding 100 family members, now it asks for monthly subscription. I would suggest you to make it more broad based, by making it available at reasonable price.
In India to pay $5 per month gets converted to Rs. 250 per month and that is too high a price.
For you to make a viable (win-win) proposition, I suggests as follows:
1- Reduce the subscription rates
2-The subscription ought to be for two & three years
3- Broaden the user base by giving referral bonus points (for bringing in more customers)
4-Make family printable by saving it and getting its print out from local printers.
