At the moment it is extremely cumbersome to connect someone to the big tree. i frequently get messages via geni saying "you have my great-grandfather in your tree". How do I connect the person? I cannot see the person's tree, because I am not in his family group. So I either have to request to join his family group or teach him how to make a public profile and request collaboration. Neither of these are intuitive to a new user. There should be a clickable option when a user contacts someone via message to automatically allow the other person to view his tree, make merges, and connect him to my tree.
Similarly, people who find themselves on the tree via google should have an easy option to claim their profile.
