Curators can currently lock profiles and/or specific fields in order to prevent abuse. Based on the increasing number of questionable profile pictures and the high potential for inappropriate images being added to the site, several curators would like to propose that we be given the ability to lock profile pictures. Users could still upload other images, in keeping with the site's cooperative spirit, but curators could lock one as the default in the rare but still notable cases where that type of action is needed.
