I have started handling Adoptions as follows:
1. Add the person to the family that you have entered.
2 .Marry them to another person using the same name and information.
3. Add Adopted to the name of the profile that represents the Adopted person
4. Change the relationship to Partner (A selection of Adopted would be a nice addition).
