"On this date in your tree"

Might there be a way to let users know what important family events happened on this date, whether it be a great-grandmother's birthdate or marriage or death date? "Your Great-Grandmother Emma Swain was born on this date in 1876" All the dates are loaded into our profiles...it seems to me it would just be a matter of sending alerts, right? Then again, I'm no IT whiz, so maybe this isn't as easy as I imagine!

  They are doing it, only for living relatives. There's obviously no technical difficulties in extending to deceased relatives (up to a certain generation / year). It's custom of many places to offer something on birth and death dates of one's ancestors, and it'd be nice to include a digital version of it, like candle and flower emoticons. That'd make Geni a better place for virtual family gathering.
