On help.geni.com, it is not clear which button to use for what. On the Bug Reports page, there are three buttons. In the tab under Bug Reports, the button has "Suggest an Idea". To the right of Bug Reports and Feature Requests, the button is "Submit a Ticket". Below that one is "Report a Bug". Could the buttons be cleaned up?

John Fischer Most web developers do this on purpose... make it really hard to communicate with them so they don't have to deal with frivolous reports. Makes it hard on those of us who find legitimate bugs and want to report them. But I've never met a programmer who would freely admit that their software may have a bug. Never.

Brendan Molloy John, I wholeheartedly disagree with you. If that were true, we'd have some pretty horrible software out there. Any decent developer wants feedback to make their software better. Outside of Geni, I'm a developer. I want feedback. I don't write perfect code. My largest installation is used by a private financial firm in over 30 countries. Sure, it had bugs and we worked through them. So, now you know of one developer.

John Fischer Brendan... I did not intend to insult the good guys out there.. like you. I've been doing this for over 40 years and I'm sure you will agree with me that there is a lot of marginal software out there built by people with big attitudes. I run into stupid stuff every day and I've heard too many times the scornful attitudes on the part of tech staff. Anyway.. apologies to you and those like you.

Allison Powell Dorsey Topic: Adjust the use of the Baptismal Certificate fields.
I have been entering a Jewish family tree that includes many people who were killed in the Holocaust. When I get to the Baptismal Certificate fields it is hard to not just be plain insulted. How about adding that metadata as a second level to the religion field? Then it could hide until it was legitimate and ready for use.
Thanks!
