Please Limit your PRO version to deny unauthorized tree connections

My tree has lately been connected by your PRO version to Mr Cecil Dana's tree, without my permission. How does this happen?

Moreover, upon connecting - some of my tree branches have been duplicated, which is a serious damage - it means I have to devote time to delete all the duplicates one by one.

We are also bothered by birthday  notes of people that belong to the foreign trees, unauthorizedly connected to our tree. 

Please:

1. Improve the Pro version in a way that will deny any unauthorized connection to other trees.

2. Advise me how to delete duplicate branches that have been added probably automatically by the PRO version.

 

Duplicates examples: Ophir Hechter, Rhona and Shlomo Shlush and their descendants.

  Well, the "problem" is that it is not YOUR tree, - as far as I can see there is as many as 139 other Geni users just within your own family group range and any of them have the rights to edit and merge profiles with others even if they are not Pro users.

  
  In the Shlomo Shlush example you mention above being a Pro user would not give anyone access to merge that private profile, only real family and curators (when requested by a family member)  would have access to do that merge. It is not even a profile you have added, showing that you are not alone in your tree.

  Geni is a web site where people collaborate and share where the ultimate goal is a World Family tree with only one profile representing a person, so duplicates will be merged by those who have access.

  Bjorn -- Curators ARE NOT requiring that  the person who makes the request for the merge  be a Family Member!!    Are you doing so??  It would be wonderful to know that at least some Curators are requiring it.    When the question was asked, here:  http://www.geni.com/discussions/120729?msg=860721  not a single Curator responded saying they required the person requesting the merges to be in the family group.  None even said they asked folks if they were in the Family Group before doing the merges.  

  Instead, in the next comment one curator states he, and he assumes others, "work on the assumption that if someone has requested a merge, they were able to see the profile" -- and so they do the merge.     So - anyone who saw enough info from  Geni's "Compare Profiles"   to believe they have a match - whether to a Profile in their Max Extended Family or way outside it (and many, many folks manage profiles outside their Max Extended Family) can request a curator to complete the match - and at least some will do so.   It does not even have to be a profile they manage - for example, maybe it is one managed by a member of their Max Extended Family  - in any case, all that is required is that "someone has requested a merge".
