Is there any chance that it may be possible, in the future, to conduct a search based on village/city names? There are undoubtedly many individuals on the Geni database who originated from the same location. Being able to determine other inhabitants (based on years that are applicable to one's research) would provide a great additional tool.

I agree. Being able to search for people who have been associated with a particular place would be a powerful way to trace unknown relatives. For example, a number of my relatives migrated from the UK to Prince Edward Island in Canada. In few weeks of dedicated tracing through cenuses I have managed to find several hundred of them; it would have been much easier if I could have simply searched on Prince Edward, Canda.
I would like to support this search tool, also. My grandmother was from a very small village (Buczkowice, Poland) and the family has remained in that area for at least 300 years. It would be extremely helpful if I could search missing relatives by searching everyone on record from that village.

I would like to search by location also, I am trying to trace who was in which state in the U.S. Also trace back to a particular village in Europe. Who in my tree came from? would be most helpful.
