My aunt who has since died, had all input her email address for her children, as she has now deceased, I am unable to change or send a request to them. Can we managers have the ability to update email addresses. Especially when they have never logged in previous.
Its not very professional to request a distant relative, who maybe not very keen anyway, to first go through the performance of changing their mothers email address to their own initially.

Interesting situation to find yourself in! I would, in this specific instance, "Submit a Ticket", asking Customer Service to please remove the aunt's email address from all the not-yet-claimed profiles in your family tree (give them the exact email address she used).
All managers should have the ability to change email addresses. Some individuals in the family trees do not wish to have an account, but it is nice to be able to send Birthday/Anniversary greetings and know they're able to receive them.

I don't think you would like if someone else than Geni staff had access to change your email.
Ps: regular mail and even phone calls are options still working if you just want to send a Birthday/Anniversary greeting.

I am the Manager of Geni.com in my family. One of the members has taken over the management of her profile and subsequently has a new email address, due to which she is unable to view messages on Geni. Neither am I able to change her email address to her latest address.
Could you help me to change the email address if I give you her name, previous email address and the present address.

Even though her email address has changed, she should be able to log in with the old email address if she can recall the password. Once she logs in, she can change her email following these instructions:

If can't recall the password and no longer has access to the old email account (which a password reset would resolve), then she can follow these instructions:
The only other alternative would be to create a second profile for her in the tree, add her new email, then merge the two accounts.
I as the Manager and creator of my account, appear to be able to change some but not others
why is it that we (managers) can change everything but the email address? People change their email addresses every so often, we should be able to update them.
I am the manager of most of my relatives, yet CANNOT change their emails.......!
