Might there be a way to let users know what important family events happened on a given date, whether it be a great-grandmother's birthdate or marriage or death date? "Your Great-Grandmother Emma Swain was born on this date in 1876" All the dates are loaded into our profiles...it seems to me it would just be a matter of sending alerts, right? Then again, I'm no IT whiz, so maybe this isn't as easy as I imagine!
