As a birth mother of two sons it is very important that the computer understands who is the mother, especially when you raise them. The step mother listed herself as the mother and my children as her sons. Obviously this in turn messed up our trees since the computer did not know who belonged in what trees. Yes, I know there are cases where a step parent raises a child and the parent is no longer in the picture or has died. There should be fields to note all this so the lineage of someone can be traced. I hope this will happen to avoid the issues that I have had to deal with.

Carol Levy Someone has added my halfsiblings half sister as my stepsister, my mother as her stepmother when neither my mother nor I have any relationship with her whatsoever so now she and her family is in my tree which bolluxes up the entire thing. Don't see answer in help.

Tiffany Sankofa Yes Geni! Please fix this! I have step-parents and I am a step-parent. My only options in adding my step-parents are biological, foster and adoptive. Do you realize there are a whole lot more STEP Parents that foster or adoptive? This is just weird.
