It would be useful to be able to accept/resolve some of the data conflicts on a profile, leaving others to be addressed after further research or discussion.
Having walked through this with Jeff perhaps his suggestion would be an enhancement!

June, can't you already do this? I think if you just select which fields you want and leave the once you're unsure of as unselected, it will maintain those in conflict.
Not in my experience and I have tried! Most recent attempt - http://www.geni.com/merge/resolve/6000000032577729536
I just did a data conflict on George Hutchinson Arnett (link below) and selected the death date, birth location. I intentionally left the birth date unselected and saved the changes. I selected the action menu and "Resolve Conflicting Data" is still there, with the remaining conflict left on the birth date. http://www.geni.com/merge/resolve/6000000032754921103
Am I misunderstanding the request or are you seeing something different? I still see information on your link that needs resolution. What happens if you just select the birth date? The birth and death location should remain as data conflicts.
No - you are not misunderstanding Jeff - that is exactly what I try to do but the conflicts that I selected stay in the list, even though I have selected and saved them! So it is something wrong with how I am doing this - I have just tried the link I gave previously accepting the first 4 options, leaving the following in place, but after saving and returning to the conflicts tose I selected are still there. perhaps you could try dping the same on that profile and see if it "registers"? http://www.geni.com/merge/resolve/6000000032577729536
| Birth Date | 7 January 1745 | 7 January 1746 |
| Birth Location | Elphinstone Tower, near Stirling, Scotland | Falkirk, Falkirk, UK |
| Death Location | Tulliallan Castle, near Kincardine-on-Forth, Fife, Scotland | Perth, Perthshire, , Scotland |
June, the first 4 entries are not data conflicts. Geni always shows the current name entries in the conflict screen irregardless of a conflict on it. I can't recall the reasoning for it (perhaps to make it clearer what profile the conflict is on), but it was intentional. I brought it up at one point, because I thought it was confusing. More than that, I think if you actually select the blank name area of the alternative, I think it will erase the name - so it treats it as an acceptable data choice. Perhaps a solution would be to change the color "grey it out" and make it un-selectable so as not to cause confusion.
Thanks Jeff - I feel like a bit of a numpty!!! That explains it all!
