sure I would like to be an active member of your site,
but I completely disagree you make money with the deaths,
and only offering what others have inscribed on your site,
making big money with all these pieces of information,
is shameful, scandalous, outrageous, shocking, and very
disgraceful to only take advantage of what all our ancestors
have been and done before us, NO ONE is allowed to make
big money with them, unless being completely without
any respect for themselves and for all our predecessors.
But I do know the most important thing in life now
and everywhere is $$$ big money making,
no matter how getting it, prostitution, murders,
drugs, wars and so on.
Not interested at all, to live into such a world.

Jeff, Geni Curator Seems to me, they're making money by creating software (that takes lots of money, time, energy, and skill to build) that allows users to manage their trees online, connecting people researching similar trees, offering support, additional storage and network resources, and records (which cost a lot to scan). Other user trees can be helpful in uncovering brick walls in your research. If you don't like it or don't get the value, then don't upgrade it. Most of the features on the site are FREE! You also don't know Geni's finances - you don't know if they're making "big $$$", breaking even, or losing money. What I can tell you is the team, which I've met personally, are great people trying to offer you a good service. They don't deserve to be compared to prostitutes, murders, and drug dealers.
