Yet another remove ex-partner post

Hi

The one thing keeping me away from Geni is my ex and her family showing up all over.
I have her family in my recent activity/stories (getting birthdays etc.)

E.g. I get my ex's brother's ex-wife's sister's birthday in my story. How weird and wrong is that?

I really don't want those kinds of news.

Half of my ex's family are shown first in my relatives list and both her and her family is of course in my tree. My ex is higher up than my fiancee.

I don't follow any of them, don't manage any of their profiles - and definately don't want to see them.

This might sounds petty or trivial to some, but there's are reason people get a divorce and Geni is just ruined for me. Could some of you curators fix this for me?

  Marlus, you may want to take a look at who you're following as you shouldn't receive notifications or activity from your ex-inlaws.

  https://www.geni.com/list/following/

  Since you have children with your ex, I would rather not disconnect you.

  As I mentioned in the opening post, (and now, double checked) I'm not following any of them. Still they show up.

  Why isn't there an option to at least hide my ex (and her side) from the list and from the tree?
  Yes, I am aware of the possibillity to hide from the immidiate family. But that only hide her from my profile page.
  Still there in the tree and still there in the relative list.

  I guess I'll stick to login in every 8 months and hope for some fix for this problem. A lot of people seems to struggle with this.
  I understand why you wont split and disconnect trees - but there must be another solution. A simple hide?
