Merging the GEDCOM files on top of each other without duplicates

Hi there,

I am having trouble in uploading a new GEDCOM file on top of the current one on geni.com.

What I want to do is to reupload the GEDCOM file from another family tree tool to geni.com, but i am getting this error:

Your GEDCOM import has stopped at the branch for [me] so that you may resolve the tree matches on the profiles below. If your imported profiles can be connected to existing work on Geni, you do not need to continue importing beyond that point. If these matches are incorrect, you can reject them and the import will continue.

While I understand that the duplicates will be reuploaded, but all I want to do is to update the new people within the tree and replace the old information which is on my geni.com tree.

so the questions are:
- if it is possible to do that without a premium account?
- what would I need to do for this to work?

to my mind, the possible solution may be to either:
1) upload a new GEDCOM file and hope, that in some way, it is possible to update just the old tree data
2) delete the tree somehow and to reupload the new GEDCOM file (i know this might be tricky due to >1 managers of my tree
3) delete my account and upload the family tree (keeping in mind that there will also be duplicates)

If possible, please advice, and thank you in advance :)
