Someone entered my mother as her father's sister. I do not know these people, but, I do know my mother and I want to know how to correct this information. My mother passed away 2 days ago and I went to add her death date only to find someone, some distant cousin 14 times removed, had already listed her as dead in 1999! On top of that they had listed her as her father (my grandfather's) sister and had her parents listed all wrong. This is a disgrace and makes me feel very bad about this site! I sent several messages. I am not a patient person, but, I am extremely upset that someone was allowed to put information in regarding my mother and grandfather without any type of verification whatsoever as to whether or not they even knew what they were talking about!!!! I really want help on fixing this horrible mix up in information!!

Jenna Gray see your other post - hopefully my answer may help you. Let me know if you want to discuss. This "world tree" is getting out of hand. Random people keep copying in information from other websites without any proper verification and quite rudely in my opinion, overriding actual family members.

Joyce Eva Chapman I wish I knew how to remove other people from being managers over my mother's profile. There are two people who keep adding wrong information. I get it corrected and then they go back in and mess it up again. Sigh. So frustrating!

Shoshana Yaakova Visser Joyce, I came across your problem because I am bothered with the same issue. I have 2 people - distantly related - who keep changing my tree and putting in incorrect info. My mother, who is still a life, was listed as deceased. That greatly upsets me. I cannot get answers as to how to remove these people. They have also listed themselves as managers of my mother's profile!! What were you able to accomplish? I totally want to get out of Geni but then all my info is on the net. Can you help me?
