I am very upset that someone entered my mother's information in her totally wrong and I can't get help because I am not a paying member. So, if your a paying member your allowed to add information whether it is correct or not and if your a non paying member you don't get to have a say even if it's your own mother?????

Jenna Gray Hi - Someone - a curator - entered a whole lot of my living relatives into Geni. I was NOT impressed, as no one had been asked their permission, how could they be? This person copied the people in there from our family tree and did not know them. Some are very elderly. I'm not a paid member - however - I found out that as a family member you can take control of close family member's profiles. You need to do this; 1. Make sure you have added yourself as your mother's daughter. 2. Go to manager options (under Actions on the right-hand top corner of your mother's profile page) and add yourself as a manager. You can also remove who ever it is that is entering data as manager of your mother's profile. You can enter data yourself, without replacing the manager as well is you choose to.

Jeroen M.W. van Dijk In reaction of the question or comment of Joyce. This a websiteservice with a lot of not paying members. And they help each other. A lot of help is giving by posting in discussionsgroups.
There are some paid staff members around here, but they work for money and helping non paying customers will not motivate customers to upgrade to paid membership. Part of the membership is to pay for support.
On the other hand the common goal is to get a correct and proven global family tree. And you have the right to manage your own relatives and if needed correct the information based on the sources you have. And if they are living close relatives those information is very easy to get. And hard to get for the non close family. Posting here will sometimes help, but may I suggest to talk directly to the other users or find a discussion group and post your question for help there. A curator can help and can edit the profiles on your request if needed. As Jenna Gray did say in her comment the curator can edit the profiles of living relatives.
At Jenna Gray I like to say please contact a curator or the curator how did this and ask very calm why they did it and how it can be corrected and done better in the future. Or ask their help to take controle of your own family. Curators of Geni are here to support the managers on Geni and solve the problems here on Geni.
I'm a curator here on Geni and every day I make little mistakes, but also everyday I try to learn from my mistakes and I try to correct mistakes I have made and others have made.
If you want my help try to find my on Geni and send me a Geni message directly. My name is Jeroen MW van Dijk and I hope I'm easy to find.
Working alone is faster, but with working together you get bigger results.

Joyce Eva Chapman There are two people who are managing my grandfather's profile and my mother's and their information is totally wrong. I have sent them multiple messages with no response. I would like to remove them from managers of my immediate families profiles, like my mother's and my grandfathers. There names are Joel Dean Alcox and AP Alcox. They know nothing of my family and have posted wrong information, but, they won't stop doing it. I am working with a currator and she has helped a lot, but, they need to be removed from my families profiles. I do not know where they get their information...I don't have sources for my informatio, but, I have lived with my family and few up know them so I know my informaiton is correct. How do you get someone removed from being a manager of your immediate families profiles???
