I received an email from GENI that a 'Yao Liu' updated members of my tree. He has NO PERMISSION to do this! I would like the GENI management to keep him from doing this.

  Yao is a volunteer curator.  If there are any mistakes, please let him or another curator know.  Geni is a fully collaborative site where we all work together, like on a giant jigsaw puzzle.  If you want complete control of your tree, your best bet is to build a separate tree on a different platform.  But that is not the best way to do genealogy.  See my blog at http://schoenblog.com/?p=1467

  I've been reading threads where numerous Geni users have been complaining Yao has been making more errors than good on random people's trees. Other Geni curators seem to defend his actions, but how is working together like a giant jigsaw puzzle when it's more like one person in a group grabbing wrong pieces together banging them down forcefully to make mismatched pieces fit?

  That doesn't make any sense at all. Geni used to be a user-friendly service but now it seems all sorts of abuse of privacy happens.
