During my entire time with Geni, I have been quite difficult to understand why you can believe that we are all in family with each other.

I certainly do not feel in family with Ramses II, Mussolini, Hitler or Trump.
How can you believe that kind of thing?

I agree that we all belong to the human race, but our origin is much more multifaceted and nuanced, which Darwin documented at a very early stage in its evolution theories.

A perception based on the fact that we are all in family with each other is based on a misguided religious perception of the rise of mankind. That way, it's not real research but pure guesswork.

For the same reason, I wonder that Geni members contact me to create some form of association. An affair I with great zeal and inconvenience tries to prevent.

  The theory is based on the fact that we all have 2 parents. So do the numbers of the living humans on earth and how many forfathers and mothers they have in theory. 

  If you go back in time you will see that the number of forfathers and formothers is greater then the current world populations. And it even comeback to the fact that the number of forfathers and mother of a single person is the same as the whole world population at that periode.

  Excluding Rames for your example the other three man has their forfathers and mothers in Europe. so the numbers are now only limited to west-europe. 

  The numbers say that in theory the chances we are related biologically are bigger the more you go back in time. But still you have to take 10 or more steps and some people limit their family to 5 steps max. 

   

  At the moment you joined Geni you are become a member of the Geni family and you joined out of free will. At the moment your profile is connected to the big tree there is a proven family relations sometimes by law of marriage and sometimes by blood.
