I noticed that others have this problem as well. I'm curious as to why, to date, everyone of my Geni connections all go thru my mother. When I did this with some people who were clearly from my paternal side I got the same results!
For example, here is the connection to someone who happens to be my paternal great grandmother (again it was thru my mom's grandmother's brother--btw, based on her mother's and cousin's names this was clearly the "correct" Rivka Goldenberg)
Rivka Goldenberg is your second great aunt's brother's wife's niece's husband's great niece's husband's great uncle's wife's first cousin.
I wonder if others may be experiencing this
