I don't know how your father was reported as deceased, but there is no indicator on his profile that he has been reported (you will get a message that he already is reported if you try again and the report is unhandeled).
Select Report/Deceased in the Actions menu on his profile to ask Geni to close his account, which usually happens within the next work day. As a close relative making the report you will not be asked for documentation.
