On Ancestry.com they have a function where you can search for an ancestor that is on YOUR family tree, however I can't find that on geni.com (if they even have that), but I would like to be able to search for (for example) Jacobus Bormans in MY family tree, rather than for every single Jacobus Bormans on the geni.com database. Is that possible?

Job Waterreus Not really, because on Geni there is no MY tree.
You can use the search screen https://www.geni.com/search/advanced however to search. Under quick search you can choose Connected to You or Managed by You instead of all of Geni to narrow down the search.
You can also go to your own profile in profile view and under the statistics heading click the number that is shown for family tree. That will show you all profiles in your family group. If you click show advanced controls at the top of the screen (after Family Tree) you can filter that list.

Job Waterreus For the second option you can go to https://www.geni.com/list directly.
