Delete a Profile from a person who claimed it, never used and and can no longer access the platform because of email changes

I added a profile years ago and now in trying to update it the person claimed their profile a long time ago, never used it, does not use the email originally associated with the account and can't get back in no matter what he does.   We just need to delete it and added it back with a more recent email but he has no way to access his account.  Help
