Once I've added my late brother's name and save, there is no option to EDIT the profile. There are no subsequent fields to include date of birth and date of death.

Bjørn P. Brox How did you enter/find that profile?
There is two of you, - your current tree and one your wife has started, - they are separate, so if you try to edit the profile your wife has added you have no access.
I suggest you should merge these trees together, -

Parthasarathi Bardhan I need to add death date to my cousin-in-law's profile. I am unable to do it, as there is no edit icon on the profile.
