Found myself in another tree and dont know how to merge

Hi there. 

Sometime ago, I signed up to Geni and contributed to grow a family tree of another family member. In that ocasion, my profile was this. The thing is, I tried to enter again and it appears that a new account (with a whole new tree) was created, so now I'm duplicated. I tried to merge them by sending a petition to the creator of the first tree, but he said that he never received the petition (and in the part of sent request it was like I never sent anything). This is the original tree where I would like to be part of (nowadays this is mine, pretty empty, of course). 

Neither me or my family member of the original tree know how to merge. Seems to complicated!

What can we do?

  apologies if you've already done this, but if you go here and click on the top right button that says actions, you should get a drop down with "merge this profile" in the middle. click that, type in your name in the pop-up, select your profile from the list that shows up, hit "compare" and then select "yes".

  the person you sent the request to should see a little blue plus in the top left corner of the box with your name in it in their family tree. they need to click on this to be redirected to a page where they can approve the merge.

  i sent someone a merge request and don't see it on my merge center page but i can see it if i click on that blue plus in my tree or in theirs.
