A couple of days ago the majority of my tree vanished. I'm new to this and had quite a family tree started. I was being helped by another member with some basic issues and he said he cleaned up some profiles and merged some. Could it have had anything to do with that? Please help!

Geni Support Team Hi Brett,
Your tree is still there. Are you sure you did not accidentally create a duplicate account?
-
Brett Alan Robinson I'm not quite sure how this works but could I have accidentally started adding to my tree off of someone else's meaning the additions would not show up on my tree?

Geni Support Team If the tree was merged, then you would be working on the same tree. Can you give a specific example of what has disappeared?

Brett Alan Robinson Suppose it was not merged but I had begun adding to someone else's tree while my tree stayed in the state it was in. Is this possible?

Louise Marie Anne Jeeves This has happened to me as well.

Geni Support Team Hi Brett,
It is difficult to say what happened without a specific example. Are there profiles you have added, but do not see in the tree? I can see from your account that you are connected to the World Family Tree, so unless the other tree is isolated from the World Family Tree, you are likely contributing to the same tree.
Please let us know what you believe is missing, so that we can better assist you.
