GEDcom import duplicated the tree, and introduced errors. Can't delete the dupes

I imported a MyHeritage-generated GEDCOM file, expecting the import to stop when it detects matches with my existing tree. But the matches are between Russian-languages names and it turned out that import failed to detect it and blew right by (also adding misplaced downstream branches owing to errors in myheritage)

This is the first duplicate https://www.geni.com/people/%D0%91%D0%B5%D1%80%D0%BA%D0%BE/6000000115965429852?through=6000000115965429862

and this is the last "good" node it connects to

I can't split the tree between them or delete the unwanted duplicates. I can merge but it merges Russian and English names together into English name fields, and there would be hundreds merges to make and edit, and some branches aren't even placed right and can't be merged without major re-working.

Is there any better way to split / kill the offending part of the tree? Thank you!
