In my oppinion, the old system for wiewing trees was much better.
Th one they use now, (copy of MyHeritage?) do not work as well, and has more problems, then the old one.

It is not Geni's choice, - all websites are forced to stop using Adobe Flash of security reasons and all web-browsers will stop supporting it, and have also started to block flash by default.
You does however still have a choice in Geni by clicking the Tree menu at the top:
but that does also require that you unblock Flash in your browser, - in Chrome easily done by clicking on the padlock, 🔒, in the URL field.
Google chrome have guaranteed support of flash to the end of 2020.
Anyhow: Geni are updating the HTML tree almost every week and it is getting better and better, and in some areas even better that the Flash tree.
You just have to get used to it and learn where to find all features, example that there pops up a field to the left hen clicking an a node in the tree where the More.. link gives you most of the options you had on the flash tree.
