I entered a family of three and they all went to private instead of public. How can I change them?

Job Waterreus You can check if you have private profiles that could be made public with these steps:
- Click on your name at the top of the screen and choose view profile
- Scroll down to immediate family
- View all
- On the top of the screen choose the list Managed by me
- Choose from the filters on the left: Non-users,Deceased,Any Gender,Private and leave the others on the default
- Scroll down and update the list
That will show you all deceased private profiles that you manage.
You can make then public from this screen (please check they do not contain info that should stay private).

Allan Manley I have a profile that geni set to PRIVATE and refuses to let me change it. Even the person (profile) cannot change it.
WHAT'S UP GENI !!!!!!!! -
Job Waterreus Profiles of living persons are always private unless it is a Master Profile (MP).
It is possible to request a profile to be changed into a MP profile but it has to meet the requirements, see https://www.geni.com/discussions/217560

Allan Manley How come one profile with similar criteria is "PUBLIC" and another (WITH THE EXACT SAME CRITERIA) is "PRIVATE"???
With above logic ALL profiles of living people are PRIVATE.
I am so sorry I used GENI to do my tree. -
Job Waterreus It would help if you gave an example for
How come one profile with similar criteria is "PUBLIC" and another (WITH THE EXACT SAME CRITERIA) is "PRIVATE"???
If it is a profile for a deceased person that has a birth data within the last 150 years, it is for the manager(s) to decide.

Rahul Gopal Naik, Singapore I created tree upto 4 generation back and then invited key members from each branch to update their details and relatives. But all of sudden their profiles become private. I can't see the details entered by them. Can we keep the profiles open within the family. I wish to print it and show it to all my family members. Truncated family names will not help.

Job Waterreus For family members you should still be able to see the details unless the other manager has blocked you. For user profile there is a setting that allows other family members to see the details and edit the profile: https://www.geni.com/account_settings/profile_privacy
