HOW TO ADD EXISTING PROFILE TO MY FAMILY TREE

Hi,

There is a deceased ancestor of mine that already has an existing profile on Geni that I want to link to my family tree. This person is already linked to my brother so I do not understand why they aren't showing up as my ancestor too. Also, because I do not pay for PRO, I cannot even go onto this ancestor's profile page.

Please can you tell me how to link this person to my family tree?

  It seems that the ancestor was already connected (direct ancestor), but if you search for his name and can click on the result, you'll get paywall. Alternatives:

  1. Simply search for his name in google (add "geni" or "site:geni.com" helps)

  2. If you know he's your ancestor, click on your "Ancestors", which takes you to https://www.geni.com/list?group=ancestors
