Unmerge profiles from my tree

I would like to request that merged profiles be removed from my family tree as the information that was merged into it is incorrect and not productive.  It appears that those who have access to merge do not actually fact check or even look to see if the information is correct.  There are now 1500+ individuals that have been added to my tree which are incorrectly connected.  There is even one individual that was born in the 1700's but died in the 600's?  I attempted to remove the merged persons, but each time I get the message that I have to remove the connected profiles, which I am unable to do since I am not a manager of them.  Please advise.
