Why can't I edit a profile I added. I want to add an email to the account and invite them to the Genie.

  HI Shree, if you do not have permission to edit a profile, then it is likely that person has already claimed the account with their email address. When a person claims their account, only they will be able to make updates to their profile unless they update their own privacy settings to allow close relatives to edit it.

  I am referring to Sivananthan Sabanayagam. His email is sssbasiva@googlemail.com. However, he claim that he never claimed his account or had any access to his profile.
  
  Could you please either give access to Sivananthan via his email or give me back control over 'Edit' his profile. He is my second cousin.

  Hi Shree, when we searched his name, we were able to locate his account and see that he last logged in yesterday. His account has been claimed since 2019. 

  If he would like for you to edit his profile, he will need to update his own account privacy settings here https://www.geni.com/account_settings/profile_privacy . He can check the box "Let my family edit my profile" and save.
