It is probably a Geni user. If that is the case you can use the Actions menu on the profile page to report him/her deceased.
Otherwise please ask for help in https://www.geni.com/discussions/216411 and provide a link to the profile.
Hi Jean. As Job noted above, if you do not see the option to edit the profile, then it is likely the person claimed their account with their email address. You may report the profile as Deceased via the Actions button on their profile page. Once you submit the report, all birthday/anniversary notifications will stop and our customer service team will be able to assist with unclaiming the account so that you may update it to reflect their passing.
