A manager for many profiles on geni.com in my family has died. How can we change their status to deceased, and take over management of the other profiles?
We do not have a Pro account.

Geni Support Team Hi Jason, we're sorry to hear about the loss of your relative. Please report their profile as Deceased via the Action button on their profile. Once our customer service team receives the report, we can assist with unclaiming the account so that you may update it to reflect their passing. In the report, you can leave a note asking to be made manager of the other profiles.

Christopher Cook I have the same problem. My parent passed away. They claimed their profile and then created many other family members profiles as well. I have reported the profile as deceased and received an email saying that all those profiles have been transferred to me but it isn't true. I was added as a manager but not the owner and I still cannot change the status of my parent's profile.
I even tried "cheating" by creating a duplicate record with the date of death info and then merging it with the "living" profile but that had no effect. Please help.
Is it because I'm not a "PRO" paid user?
